By the concept "Unboxing! Memory of Chiayi", it connects the public's memory and imagination of Chiayi through collecting the items of Chiayi and arouse their affection and identification with Chiayi in order to probe into the history of Chiayi with the people's appealing stories about the city!
The exhibition is based on "Return to Hometown Chiayi‧1980" and the family story with three generations, including four topics "unboxing journal", "treasure box of family history", "Chiayi time machine" and "good time in Chiayi". 126 sets collected, including 192 pieces of historical relics, are presented by the narrative of stories. The periods of historical relics exhibited are from Japanese colonial period to 1980s. Through several dimensions, it shows the interesting common lives in Chiayi. In the exhibition, it reconstructs the scenes of different industries at the time. The visitors approach the beauty of "Chiayi" with the time machine.
